Students were introduced to the 1-1-1 Rule last week.  The 1-1-1 Rule helps them spell words with inflectional endings.  A 1-1-1 word has one syllable, one vowel, and one consonant following the vowel. 

clap–clapping             swim–swimming             shop–shopping               run-running

Spelling City is a great site for our students to study their spelling words.  Mrs. Anderson and I will be posting our spelling lists on Mondays.  Students will be able to access their spelling list by clicking on the Student tab and scrolling down to find your list.  Click there and then type your child’s reading teacher’s name in the box.
